Ken McWilliams

Senior Vice President – Research

Ken is our data guru.  He has the rare ability to take large amounts of data and distill it down to the key drivers in determining the attractiveness, risk, and value of an asset.

As Senior Vice President of Research at JTW Advisors, Ken contributes to the underwriting of subdivisions and builders through the use of macro-level and asset-specific data.  He produces user-friendly analyses and tools to assist our clients in decision-making.

Ken has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic guidance for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.  Prior to joining JTW Advisors, he was the Director of Strategy for Crescent Communities and its homebuilding start up, Fielding Homes.  Ken developed an in-house geographic information system (GIS) application for evaluating land purchases in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Texas.  He also provided product and pricing recommendations for Fielding Homes’ entry into the Charlotte and Raleigh markets.

Ken started his real estate career as a Transportation Planner with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council in Boston, where he modeled the impacts of residential and commercial development on the regional transportation system.

Ken co-authored two published papers, Emerging Spatial Information Systems and Applications, and Density: Preserving Communities and Transportation Systems in the Suburbs.

Ken is an avid runner, and after-hours you can find him running up and down the stairs in 30 story office buildings.
